To enable quality information to be obtained for potentially liquefiable soils in Hawkes Bay Civil Services (HB) Ltd have invested in the Swedish Weight Sounding (SWS) test equipment. We are now able to undertake site investigations utilising this equipment yielding quick and reliable results enabling better quality information to be utilised by structural and/or geotechnical engineers. It is recommended for the evaluation of liquefaction and subsequent foundation options for residential construction or low rise commercial and industrial buildings.

This equipment is very mobile, hand operated and can be utilised in confined spaces or where access is restricted.
